Great piano cover by Madeline of Don’t Want to Leave (track 9 on my Feet in the Dirt album) mixed by the ever amazing Cameron Taylor.

Ooooh, this is so beautiful. The transition into The Cat That Keeps Away The Black Dog is a really nice touch at the end. Madeline is amazing and her hands are very pretty.

Yay!

Lie to people who catch you taking their picture without permission and are obviously upset about it!

Do it!

Lie to them about having actual emotional/mental problems to make them feel bad.

Take people’s pictures without permission and post them online.

Act like a snarky piece of shit when they call you out on it.

Go ahead!

Ugh, that list of lies is so disgusting.

Meanwhile, you’re funny! I like you a lot.

TW: sexual assault
I was interviewed by some uni students for their project on commuting. They asked if I’d ever had an uncomfortable experience on the train. I told them about the time I was on my way to uni (or high school, I can’t actually remember, but I told them uni) and I was reading Sense and Sensibility (it might have been another Jane Austen novel, again, I can’t really remember, but I told them Sense and Sensibility) and I was so very deeply focused on the book that I ignored how physically uncomfortable sitting in my seat was becoming.
I was wearing a short skirt so I assumed my thighs had gotten all sweaty and were simultaneously sliding around on and sticking to the vinyl. So I shifted around a bit, keeping my eyes fixed on the pages of my book. Finally I realised that what I was feeling couldn’t possibly be caused by sweat and vinyl. Something was pressing up against me from underneath, sort of pushing between my butt cheeks and thighs. I half lifted myself up and turned around and there was a hand, a very big hand, fingers splayed, emerging from the gap between the back and bottom of my seat. I think it had been under me for quite some time.
The uni students didn’t ask what happened after I saw the hand, which was a relief because I’m not at all proud of how I handled the situation.
Anyway, this is a gif of how I like to ride the train now. In a seat where no one can sit behind me.
